Description

Test data is generated automatically for a G-Questionnaire Domain unless it has been added to the Toggle Domain Tab in a G-Questionnaire Template.

When a Domain is added, the grEnable Attribute can be shown to users in their cases. Users can toggle data generation on and off for that Domain using the grEnable Attribute.

Three Methods for Adding Domains to the Toggle Domain Tab

A Domain can be added in one of three ways:

Method 1 - Drag and Drop into the Toggle Domain Tab

Drag and drop each Domain from the Domain Tree View into the Toggle Domain Tab

Method 2 - Use the Checkboxes in the Domain Tree View

  • Use the checkbox next to each Domain name within the tree view.

  • When unchecked, the Domain will automatically be added to the Toggle Domain Tab.

Method 3 - Use the Add Domain to Toggle Button

  • Within the Toggle Domain Tab, click on the Add Domain to Toggle button.

  • Select a Domain and then click the Save button.

How Does the grEnable Attribute Work with G-Questionnaire?

  • The Domain is added to the Toggle Domain Tab within the template.

  •  The user then clicks on the Show grEnable Attribute (Eye) icon to show it on the G-Questionnaire Preview.

  • The user clicks Yes in the prompt.

  • The user previews the G-Questionnaire, and the grEnable Attribute is displayed for the Domain.

  • By default, the data will not be generated for that Domain. Users can enter a constant value of "true," as shown below, to generate data for the Domain.

Parent/Child Relationships and the grEnable Attribute

If the Domain is a parent to one or more Domains, data will not be generated for those Domains. This is because the child Domain is directly tied to the data that the parent domain generates.

Example

Data will be generated for four Domains: Organization, Department, User, and Address. The User Domain is the parent of the Address Domain.

The User Domain has been added to the Toggle Domain Tab and is visible in the user's G-Questionnaire cases.

The user generates their data, and test data is only generated for the Organization and Department Domains.
