Lesson Summary

Now that the Master Domain has been defined, a Parent/Child relationship must be defined between the Master Domain and the User, GrantHistory, and NotificationSetting Domains.  Defining a Parent/Child relationship between two Domains can be accomplished in two quick steps.  


Lesson Steps

Step 1 - Make the User Domain a Child of the Master Domain

  • On the Project Dashboard, go to the Domains panel and click on the 'User' Domain link.
  • On the Domain Dashboard, click the Relationship tab
  • On the Relationship tab, click the Add Referential Parent button


Step 2 - Define a Parent to Child Relationship

  • Click the Master Domain's radio button to designate it as the parent
  • Click the Save button

 

  • The Relationship tab should now show the following result.


Step 3 - Make the GrantHistory Domain a Child of the Master Domain

  • Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the GrantHistory Domain


Step 4 - Make the NotificationSetting Domain a Child of the Master Domain

  • Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the NotificationSetting Domain


Step 5 - View Master Domain's Newly Defined Children

  • On the Project Dashboard, go to the Domains panel and click on the 'Master' Domain link.
  • On the Domain Dashboard, click the Relationship tab
  • The Relationship tab should now show the following result.
