A Test Data Case Set can be locked or unlocked after it has been created for a Project or Project Version. When a Test Data Case Set is locked, it cannot be deleted from the Project. Only users with the appropriate permissions are able to unlock and lock a Test Data Case Set.

Locking a Test Data Case Set

Locking a Test Data Case Set prevents it from being deleted by other users. A locked Test Data Case Set can still be modified and downloaded as needed.


To lock a Test Data Case Set, complete the following steps:  

  • Click on the Lock Icon within the Actions Column for a Test Data Case Set.

  • It will appear unlocked when a Test Data Case Set is not currently locked.


  • Click Yes within the warning message to lock the Test Data Case Set.


    Note: Click No to close this message without locking the Test Data Case Set.


  • Once the Test Data Case Set is locked, the icon will appear locked as well.


Unlocking a Test Data Case Set

To unlock a Test Data Case Set, complete the following steps: 

  • Click on the Lock Icon within the Actions Column for the Test Data Case Set.


  • Next, click Yes in the confirmation message to unlock it.


    Note: Click No to close this message without unlocking the Test Data Case Set.


  • Once it has been unlocked, the icon will appear unlocked as well.
