Description
An EDI Project may have one or many EDI Project Versions. Each EDI Project has one default EDI Project Version, which contains the original standard configuration for the Document or Transaction Set.
An EDI Project may have more than one Project Version, representing a version of an EDI Document or Transaction Set. Changes made to the standard template and the use of self service components (i.e., Cases, Rules, and Queries) occur at the Project Version level.

How to View an EDI Project Version
The most current version will be selected automatically when viewing an EDI Project within the EDI Management Dashboard.
To view and work with a different version, click on the appropriate one within the EDI Versions Pane for the selected EDI Project (i.e., EDI Header).
How to Create EDI Versions
An EDI Version can be created in one of the following ways:
- Created - A new EDI Version will be created with the standard EDI configuration. The steps for this method are the same as when creating a new EDI Project. Please see How do I create an EDI Project? to learn more.
- Copied - A selected EDI Version may be copied to ensure it has the same EDI configuration. Continue reading to learn more.
How to Copy an EDI Version
An EDI Project Version can only be copied five times within a 24-hour time period. This time period starts when the first project copy is performed. If the threshold is met, users will not be able to copy that project version again until the 24-hour time period has passed. To copy an EDI Version, complete these steps:
- Select an EDI Version in the EDI Versions pane.
- Click on the Copy EDI Version button at the bottom of the EDI Versions pane.
