Description
The G-Stories Management Dashboard can be used to define, organize, and maintain different sets of Test Data Stories, also called a Test Data Story Suite or G-Story Suite. The following applies for Story Suites and Stories:
- A Story Suite can contain one or many Stories.
- Each Story can contain one or many Chapters.
- Each Chapter contains a Component (Scenario, Scenario Chain, or Scenario Chain Set).
- Optionally, a Component can also include a Test Data Case.
Within the G-Stories Management Dashboard, users can create and manage Test Data Story (or G-Story) Suites. For each suite, users can do the following:
- Add, Edit, and Remove Test Data Stories
- Add, Edit, and Remove Story Chapters
- Add, Edit, and Remove Chapter Components
How to Access the G-Stories Management Dashboard
- Within the Project Versions Pane, expand the Self Serve Menu Options drop-down menu for a Project Version of a given Project.
- Select G-Stories within the drop-down menu.
G-Stories Management Dashboard Panes
The G-Stories Management Dashboard contains five panes:
- Story Suites Pane
- Stories Pane
- Chapters Pane
- Components Pane
- Story Preview Pane
Story Suites Pane
The Story Suites Pane can be used to view, create, and manage Story Suites for a selected Project Version of a given Project.
Users can see the Story Suite Name, Created By, Created On, Last Modified By, and Modified On information for each Story Suite. The Actions column can be used to perform additional actions for a Story Suite.
The following buttons and icons can be found within the Story Suites Pane:

The Add G-Story Suite button can be used to add a Story Suite to a selected Project Version of a given Project. | |
The Edit icon can be used to edit the Story Suite name and description. | |
The Copy icon can be used to copy a Story Suite. | |
The Report icon can be used to view a Story Suite report. | |
The Download icon can be used to download a Story Suite. | |
The Lock icon can be used to lock and unlock a Story Suite. | |
The Delete icon can be used to delete a Story Suite. |
Stories Pane
The Stories Pane can be used to view, create, and manage Stories for a selected Story Suite. Users can see the Story Name, Parent Story, and any Test Data Case applied at the Story Level. The Actions column can be used to perform additional actions for a Story.

The Inherit Story button can be used to set a Story as the Parent of other Stories within the Suite. | |
The Edit icon can be used to edit a Story name and description. | |

The Download icon can be used to download a Story. | |
The Delete icon can be used to delete a Story from a Suite. | |
The Move icon can be used to change the position of a Story within the Stories Pane. |
Chapters Pane
The Chapters Pane can be used to view, create, and manage Chapters for a selected Story. Users can see the Chapter Name and Description. The Actions column can be used to perform additional actions for a Chapter.
The following buttons and icons can be found within the Chapters Pane:

Components Pane
The Components Pane can be used to view, create, and manage Components for a selected Story and Chapter. Users can see the Component Name and G-Case Name. The Actions column can be used to perform additional actions for a Component.

Story Preview Pane
The Story Preview Pane shows each Chapter and its Components for a selected Story. Click on a Plus (+) to expand the Chapter and view its Components.
Click on the Expand icon to expand and view the Story Preview Pane.
