Description

The G-Stories Management Dashboard is used to define, organize, and maintain suites of Test Data Stories or G-Stories. Users can create and manage stories for the selected Project Version within the dashboard.

How to Access the Dashboard

  • Expand the Self Serve Menu Options and select G-Stories.


Dashboard Panes

The following panes are in the G-Stories Dashboard:

1Story Suites PaneView, create, and manage Story Suites for a selected Project Version of a given Project.
2Stories PaneView, create, and manage Stories for a selected Story Suite. 
3Chapters PaneView, create, and manage Chapters for a selected Story.
4Components PaneView, create, and manage Components for a selected Story and Chapter.
5Story Preview PaneShows each Chapter and its Components for a selected Story. Click on a Plus (+) to expand the Chapter and view its Components.


Dashboard Buttons

OptionDescription

Add a Story Suite to a selected Project Version of a given Project. 

Add a  Story to the selected suite. A suite can have many Stories. 
Add a Chapter to the selected Story. A Story can have many Chapters. 
Add a Component to the selected Story Chapter. A Chapter can have a Scenario, Scenario Chain, or Scenario Chain Set and optionally a Test Data Case.

Make changes to a Story Suite, Story, Chapter, or Component.
Copy a Story Suite, Story, Chapter, or Component.
View a Story Suite report. Shows each Story, Chapter, and Component within the Suite. 
Download the Story Suite to your local computer.
Lock (or unlock) a Story Suite.
Remove a Story Suite, Story, Chapter, or Component.
Set a Story as the parent of other Stories within the suite. 
Reorder Stories or Components.
