Description

The GenRocket Methodology is made up of four stages for each test data project:

Model

Define the DATA MODEL for each application/database. Data Models can be defined by extracting database metadata (XTS), importing a file (DDL, JSON, CSV), or can be configured quickly through the Scratch Pad feature.

Design

Determine your test case requirements and DESIGN the test data you need. Define the type of data to be generated in the Self-Service Portal; test data that is controlled, realistic, accurate, secure, stateful, scalable, and unique for maximum test coverage.

Deploy

Once test data has been designed, it can be DEPLOYED. Instruction sets defined in the DESIGN phase are executed by the GenRocket Runtime Engine. GenRocket Receivers morph the generated data into specific output formats (e.g., XML, JSON, SQL), ready for deployment in real-time. More than 90 different Receivers are available.

Manage

Organization Administrators and Testers have access to and can MANAGE different test data projects based on their Team Permissions. The G-Analytics Dashboard provides visibility into all aspects of your Organization’s test data projects and user activity. Advanced MANAGEMENT features automate and accelerate copying, refactoring, and other repetitive tasks.
