Description

The Project Versions Pane can be used to view and manage Project Versions for a given Project within the web platform. After a Project has been selected within the Projects Pane, all of its Project Versions will be displayed here.

What is a Project Version? 

A given Project can have one or multiple Project Versions. Each Project Version contains it own Domains, Scenarios, Receivers, and configurations for test data generation. 


How to Select and View Project Versions

  • Click on a Project Version to view and manage it within the Project Dashboard.


  • The Project Version Number will appear to the right of the Project Name.


Project Versions Pane - Icons and Menus

The following icons and menus are available within the Project Versions Pane:



Icon/Menu

Description

The Manage drop-down menu can be used to:
The XTS Import Audit Report icon can be used to view an XTS Import Audit Report for a Project Version of a given Project.

The Domain Referencing Wizard icon can be used to access the Domain Referencing Wizard for a given Project Version. 

The Domain Referencing Wizard can be used to validate and set up Parent-Child-Sibling Relationships when importing your data model into a Test Data Project.

The Project Version Status Report icon can be used to view the following information for a Project Version: 
  • Attributes with no Generator or a Bad State
  • Domains id Attributes that do not have the RangeGen Generator
  • Foreign Key Attributes that do not have the ProxyReferenceGen Generator

The Global Seed Assigner icon can be used to assign the Global Seed value to each Domain that has a seed value within the Project Version.

The Lock icon can be used to Lock or Unlock a Project Version within a given Project. 
  • Unlocked - Project Version is unlocked.
  • Locked - Project Version is locked.


Note: Only Organization Admins can unlock a Project Version.



When locked, a Project Version cannot be deleted. The Delete (Trash Can) icon will be grayed out as shown below:

The Edit (Pencil) icon can be used to:
  • Edit the Project Version Number
  • Edit the Code Name
  • Enable or Disable the Enforce Type/Limit option

The Enforce Type/Limit option is enabled automatically for each Generator within a Project Version when a DDL File or XTS is imported. It ensures generated data is within a defined data size. If this option is enabled through this dialog window, the Enforce Type/Limit option will be enabled for every new assigned Generator within the Project Version.

The View Resource Change icon will be available when a Project (Version) has been copied from one Organization (e.g. A1) to another Organization (e.g. A2) and one or more resources in Organization A1 does not exist in Organization A2. 

This icon can be used to view all the places where users in Organization A2 need to update the Resource(s).

The Delete Project Version icon can be used to delete a Project Version from a given Project.

The Self Serve Menu Options can be used to access our Self Service Platform. The following options are provided in this drop-down menu by default:

G-EDIThis menu option can be used to access the EDI Management Dashboard, which is used to access, view, and manage EDI Projects.

G-CasesAccess, view, and manage Test Data Cases. The G-Cases Dashboard is used to add and manage Test Data Case Suites within a given Project Version.

G-RulesAccess, view, and manage Test Data Rules. The G-Rules Dashboard can be used to add and manage Test Data Rule Suites within a given Project Version.

G-QueriesAccess, view, and manage Test Data Queries. The G-Queries Dashboard is used to add and manage Test Data Queries within a given Project Version. 

Test Data Queries can be used to blend synthetic test data with real data.

G-StoriesAccess, view, and manage Test Data Stories. The G-Stories Dashboard can be used to add and manage Story Suites within a given Project Version.

G-Story EpicsAccess, view, and manage Test Data Story Epics. The G-Story Epics Dashboard can be used to add and manage Story Epics. 

A Story Epic contains multiple Stories from one or more Story Suites and can be used to generate complex test data (e.g. populating an entire database).
