Description

The G-Questionnaire Management Dashboard is used to view, create (author), and manage G-Questionnaires within a selected Project Version of a given Project.


How to Access the G-Questionnaire Management Dashboard

  • Select the Project within the Project Dashboard.
  • Expand the Self Serve Menu Options menu and select G-Questionnaire.

G-Questionnaire Suites Pane

The G-Questionnaire Suites Pane is used to create and manage G-Questionnaire Suites for a Project Version of a given Project. Please note that not all icons will be available to users in 'Tester Mode.'


The following icons and buttons are available within the G-Questionnaire Suites Pane:


Icon/Button

Description

Filter G-Questionnaire Suites by keyword.
Create a new G-Questionnaire Suite.
Edit a G-Questionnaire Suite.
Preview the G-Questionnaire Template. 
Copy an existing G-Questionnaire Suite to create a new suite.
View a G-Questionnaire Suite Report.
Download an entire G-Questionnaire Suite to a user's local machine.
Lock and unlock a G-Questionnaire Suite. Locked G-Questionnaire Suites cannot be deleted. 
Delete a G-Questionnaire Suite from a Project Version.


G-Questionnaire Cases Pane

The G-Questionnaire Cases Pane can be used to view and modify the default template and any created cases within a suite.



The following icons and fields are available to users when viewing the G-Questionnaire Cases Pane:

Descriptions

Filter Cases by keyword.
View a G-Questionnaire Case Report. 
Preview the G-Questionnaire Template.
Take a look "under the hood" and further customize the G-Questionnaire Case.
Copy the G-Questionnaire Template or a Case.
Download a G-Questionnaire Case to the user's local machine.
Lock or unlock a G-Questionnaire Case. When a G-Questionnaire Case is locked, it cannot be deleted.
Edit the G-Questionnaire Template Description.
Edit the G-Questionnaire Case Name and Description.
Delete a G-Questionnaire Case from the selected G-Questionnaire Suite.


G-Questionnaire Editor Pane (Author/Creator View)

This section covers the G-Questionnaire Editor Pane options available to users "authoring" the template or who are going "under the hood."



Rules Tab

The Rules Tab can be used to add and manage G-Rules for a template or a case. 



A pop-up will appear with available G-Rules and can be used to select one or multiple G-Rule Suites.




The following icons and buttons are available within the Rules Tab:

Add a G-Rule to the G-Questionnaire Template or Case.
Remove multiple G-Rules from the G-Questionnaire Template or Case. 
Expand the G-Rules Tab. A larger pop-over will open for viewing the G-Rules Tab.
View the G-Rule Suite within the G-Rules Management Dashboard.
View a G-Rule Report.
Remove a G-Rule from G-Questionnaire Template or Case.


Queries Tab

The Queries Tab can be used to add and manage G-Queries for a template or a case.


A pop-up will appear with available G-Queries and can be used to select one or multiple G-Queries.



The following icons and buttons are available within the Queries Tab:

Add a G-Query to the G-Questionnaire Template or Case.
Remove multiple G-Queries from the G-Questionnaire Template or Case.
Expand the G-Queries Tab. A larger pop-over will open for viewing the G-Queries Tab.
View the G-Query within the G-Queries Management Dashboard.
Remove a G-Query from a G-Questionnaire Template or Case. 


Domain and Attribute Tab

The Domain and Attribute Tab can be used to view Domains and Attributes within a tree view. It will also show a preview of generated test data for Attributes selected within the Modify Attribute Tab.



The checkboxes determine if test data will be generated for a Domain's Attributes. When checked, data will be generated. If unchecked, a Domain's Attributes will generate test data based on the state of the grEnable Attribute within the Toggle Domains Tab.



Domains can be added to the template by dragging and dropping them into the Domain and Loop Count Pane or clicking the Plus (+) icon.


Each Domain can be expanded to view its Attributes. Individual Attributes can be dragged and dropped into the Modify Attributes or Toggle Domain tabs or added with the Plus (+) icon.



The following icons, buttons, and fields are available within the Domain and Attribute Tab:


Icon/Button/Field

Description

Filter Domains and Attributes by keyword.
Expand the Domain and Attribute Pane.
Clear the keyword within the Filter input field.
When checked, data will be generated for the Domain's Attributes. If unchecked, the Domain will be added to the Toggle Domains Tab
Expand and Collapse Domains.
Add Domain or Attribute to the G-Questionnaire. 
Jump to the Domain or Attribute.
Change the preview count within the Preview Pane.
Navigate between pages in the Preview Pane.


Domain and Loop Count Pane

The Domain and loopCount Pane can be used to add existing Domains within the Project Version to the G-Questionnaire Template (or Case) and change their loop counts. The Filter input field can be used to filter Domains by a keyword.

 

The following icons and buttons are available within the Domain and Loop Count Tab:


Icon/Button

Description

Add a Domain to the Loop. This button can be used to add Domains using drop-down menus.
Remove multiple Domains. Use the checkboxes to select multiple Domains and delete them from the G-Questionnaire Template or Case.
Expand the Domains and Loop Counts Pane. 
Modify the loopCount for a Domain.
Group edit for Domain Attributes. This can be used to modify multiple Attributes at once for a Domain. Only the Attributes that have been added will appear in the pop-up window.
Rearrange Attributes for the Domain. A pop-up window will appear where users can click and drag to change the order of Attributes.
Preview Attributes for the Domain. A Data Preview pop-up window will open, showing a preview of Attribute data for the Domain.
View and manage Domain Variables.
Remove a Domain from the G-Questionnaire Template or Case. 



Modify Attribute Tab

The Modify Attribute Tab can be used to add existing or new Attributes to the G-Questionnaire Template (or Case). The Filter input field can be used to filter Attributes by a keyword. 



The following icons and buttons are available within the Modify Attribute Tab:

Description

Add a Domain Attribute to the G-Questionnaire Template or Case.
Remove multiple Domain Attributes from the G-Questionnaire Template or Case. Use the checkboxes to select the Attributes.
Expand the Modify Attribute Pane.
Add a new Domain Attribute to the G-Questionnaire Template or Case.
Edit an Attribute.
Show Attribute references. 
Hide/Show the Attribute on the G-Questionnaire Preview. Attributes are shown by default.
Remove an Attribute from the G-Questionnaire Template or Case.



Toggle Domain Tab

The Toggle Domain Tab can be used to add Domains to toggle with a grEnable Attribute. The grAttribute can be used to toggle test data generation for a Domain on and off. 

Domains added here will also be added to the Domain and Loop Count Pane. The Filter input field can be used to filter items by a keyword.



The following icons and buttons are available within the Toggle Domain Tab:


Icon/Button

Description

Add a Domain to toggle using the grEnable Attribute.
Select multiple Toggle Domains using the checkboxes and delete them from the G-Questionnaire.
Expand the Toggle Domain Tab. 
Edit the grEnable Attribute for the Domain. The grEnable Attribute can be used to toggle test data generation for a Domain.
Show references to the grEnable Attribute. 
Hide/Show the grEnable Attribute within the G-Questionnaire Preview. The grEnable Attribute is hidden by default. 
Remove a Domain from the G-Questionnaire Template.



Receiver Tab

The Receiver Tab can be used to manage assigned Receivers for each Domain added to a G-Questionnaire Template (or Case). Select a Domain to add a Receiver.



Select a Receiver to view and modify its Parameters and Property Keys.


The following icons and buttons are available when viewing Receivers for a G-Questionnaire. 


Icon/Button

Description

Add a new Receiver to the Domain.
Save changes made to a Receiver's Parameters.
Expand the Receiver Tab.
Add Receiver to the selected G-Questionnaire Domain.
Edit the Receiver's name.
Remove a Receiver from the selected G-Questionnaire Domain.
Change the position of a Receiver within the Receiver Tab.
View information about an item.
Delete a Receiver from the Q-Questionnaire Domain.


Generator Tab

The Generator Tab can be used to manage Generators for a selected Attribute. Select an Attribute within the Manage Attributes Tab to view the assigned Generators and make changes. 



The following icons and buttons are available within the Generators Tab:


Icons/Buttons

Description

Save changes made to Generator Parameters.
Refresh the Preview of generated data.
Select a Generator to replace the currently assigned Generator.
Replace the presently assigned Generator with the selected Generator.
Add another Generator (link) to the Attribute.
Copy the selected Attribute's Generator to other Attributes using Simple or Pattern Copy.

Preview Tab

The Preview Tab can be used to see a preview of the generated data for an Attribute.


G-Questionnaire Editor Pane (Default Tester View)

The G-Questionnaire Editor Pane will appear differently for users who are in "tester mode" by default.



The following fields, icons, and buttons are available when in Tester Mode: 


Field/Icon/Button

Description

Select one or more generated preview values for an Attribute.
Enter a Constant Value to be generated for an Attribute.
Save changes for G-Questionaire Case.
Cancel changes to G-Questionnaire Case.
Change the loopCount for a Domain.
View and manage the Domain Variables.
Sync Generator from the Template Case. This will revert any changes made and use the assigned Generator.
