Description

Test data cases can be created after at least one G-Family has been discovered. The discovered G-Families are displayed within the G-Families Management Dashboard

This article will show how to create cases from a selected G-Family. When creating cases, users can create the following:

  • A case containing all selected Domains.
  • An individual case for each selected Domain.

IMPORTANT: All future changes should be made from the G-Cases Management Dashboard for a case once created from a G-Family. Changes made from the G-Families Management Dashboard will not be reflected within the case once it has been created.

  • (Optional) Change the name of the case suite. It defaults to the G-Family Name.
  • Select a Suite Category (e.g., Beta, Negative, Load, Unit).

  • (Optional) Enter a Case Name.
    • Case Name is Provided - The case will be created with the given name under the selected Category. The case will contain all the chosen Domains in the form.

    • Case Name is not Provided - An individual case will be created for each selected Domain in the form.

  • Enter a Default LoopCount for all selected Domains. This is the standard LoopCount for every selected Domain.

  • Check one or all Domains by using the checkboxes. A case will be created for each selected Domain.

  • (Optional) Enter a LoopCount for one or more selected Domains. This LoopCount will override the Default LoopCount.

  • Click the Save button to finish.

  • The user will be redirected to the G-Cases Management Dashboard. A Case Suite with the selected Category and the Cases will be created for the Project Version.

  • Please note that the number of created cases within the created suite will depend on whether a Case Name was entered. No Case Name was entered in this example, so an individual case was created for each selected Domain.

  • Users can navigate to G-Families from the Case Suite by clicking on the Family Name within the G-Cases Management Dashboard.

Important: Once cases have been created from a G-Family, future changes must be made within the case itself. Changes made to the G-Family will not be reflected within existing cases.
