Description

A user with the appropriate permissions can create a G-Questionnaire Suite and author a Template. Once authored, General Users (e.g., Developers/Testers) can copy the G-Questionnaire Template or a Case to create their own G-Questionnaire Cases.

Step 1: Create a G-Questionnaire Suite

Create a G-Questionnaire Suite. When a new G-Questionnaire Suite is saved, the system immediately creates a related case titled "Template." The Author cannot create nor delete the Template, only modify the Template's contents.

Step 2: (Optional) Modify the Template Case Description

  • Click on the Edit icon within the G-Questionnaire Case Pane to modify the description.


Step 3: Add G-Rule Suites

The G-Rules Tab can be used to add G-Rule Suites to the Template. For G-Rules to be added to a Template, they must have been added to the Project Version first. 


  • Select the G-Rules Tab and click on the Add G-Rule button.


  • Click on each checkbox to select one or more G-Rule Suites, and then click on the Add button.



Step 4: Add G-Queries

The G-Queries Tab can be used to add G-Queries to the Template. For G-Queries to be added, they must have been added to the Project Version first. 


  • Select the G-Queries Tab and click on the Add G-Query button.


  • Click on each checkbox to select one or more G-Queries and click on the Add button.


Step 5: Add Domains

Any Domain within the tree hierarchy can be dragged from the tree view and dropped into the Domain and Loop Count Pane



Domains can also be added to the G-Questionnaire Case by clicking on the Add Domain to Loop button. 



Select a Domain from the drop-down menu and click the Save button.



Step 6: Modify Loop Counts

The loopCounts for each added Domain can be changed by clicking on the Edit (Pencil) button and entering a new value.



Select a Loop Type and enter the required values based on the selection. Then click the Save button. 

  • Constant - This data will be generated for a constant value or reference the Global Loop Count.
  • Random - The data will be generated randomly based on the entered Min and Max Range.
  • Increasing - The data will be generated in an increasing order based on the entered Min and Max Range.
  • Decreasing - The data will be generated in a decreasing order based on the entered Min and Max Range



Step 7: Add and Manage Attributes

In Auther Mode, users can add a new Attribute or an existing Attribute to the G-Questionnaire Case. 


Step 7a: Existing Attributes

Attributes within the tree hierarchy can be dragged and dropped into the Domain Attribute grid within the Attribute Tab.  



An existing Attribute can also be added by clicking on the Add Domain Attribute button. 



Select a Domain and Attribute from the drop-down menus and then click Save.



Step 7b: New Attributes

Click on the Plus (+) icon to add a new Attribute to the G-Questionnaire Case.



Select a Domain and enter an Attribute Name. Click the Save button.



Step 8: Add Domains to Toggle

Drag and drop Domains whose enabled behavior will be determined by a grEnable Attribute. Added Domains can be moved around or removed as needed from the Template. 



Domains can also be added to the Toggle Domain Tab by clicking on the Add Domain to Toggle button.



Select a Domain and then click the Save button.



Step 9: Manage Generators

Select an Attribute within the Modify Attribute Tab, and its Generator information will be displayed within the Generators Tab.

Here, the author can modify Generator Parameters, assign a different Generator, and manage linked Generators. 



Step 10: Manage Receivers

The Receivers Tab can be used to add, remove, enable/disable, and manage Receivers for a G-Questionnaire Case. 

  • Select the Receivers Tab to view and manage Receivers.


  • Click on a Receiver to view its Parameters and Attribute Property Keys.



  • Click on the Add Receiver button to add a new Receiver to the selected Domain.


  • Use the  Plus (+) icon to add the currently assigned Domain Receiver to the Questionnaire Case Domain.


Preview the G-Questionnaire

The Author can preview the G-Questionnaire to see how it will appear to Developers/Testers. Click on the Preview icon within the G-Questionnaire Suites Pane.


Click Close to exit the preview.



Note: An Author can continue to modify a Template even if the Testers are using the Template. The modifications an Author makes to the Template will be immediately reflected in the Cases referencing the Template.
