Description

The G-Cases Management Dashboard is used to view and manage G-Cases for the selected Project Version of a Project. Here, you can create one or multiple suites of cases grouped by testing categories (i.e., beta, load, unit). This article covers available options within this dashboard, along with additional details. 


Expand the Self Serve Menu Options in the Project Versions pane and select G-Cases to access this dashboard.


Dashboard Panes and Tabs

The following panes and tabs are in the G-Cases Management Dashboard:

Description
1Case Suite PaneCreate and manage one or more suites of cases for the selected Project Version.
2Case Category PaneCategories are used to organize cases within a suite. Add and manage categories for the selected suite.
3Cases PaneCreate and manage cases for a selected suite and category.
4G-Case Editor TabSet up a selected G-Case by adding Domains, changing loopCounts, adding Attributes to a Domain, changing Receivers, etc., at the case level. 
5G-Rule Set TabAdd and manage rules for a selected case. 
6G-Queries TabAdd and manage queries for a selected case.

8Preview PaneView the details of each case in the suite. 


Dashboard Views

The Template View is the standard, default view for the G-Cases Management Dashboard. For EDI Projects, an additional view is available and recommended:

G-Case Suite, Category, and Case Pane Icons

The following icons are available in the Case Suite, Category, and Case panes:

Make changes to an item (e.g., Case Suite, Category, Case, Domain).
Copy an item (e.g., Case Suite, Case).
View a report for the Case Suite. This report contains a summary of Cases per Category within the Suite. 
Create a G-Questionnaire from a Case Suite. Click here for more information. 
Download the entire Case Suite or specific Cases within a Category.
Lock or unlock a Case Suite. When locked, the Case Suite can only be deleted by an Org Admin or the creator. Users can still make changes. Additional permissions have been set up using the Team Permissions feature. 
Delete an item (e.g., Case Suite, Category, Case). 
Move a Case to a different Category within the Suite (e.g., Beta to Unit).


G-Case Editor Tab Icons

The following icons can be found within the G-Case Editor Tab:

Open the Domain Tree View, which is a pop-up window. You can view Case Domains and Attributes in a tree format and enable/disable Case Domains or individual Attributes. 
View the template Domain in the Domain Dashboard. 
Add a Domain to a case. Once added, it becomes a Case Domain, and changes in the Case Domain do not impact the template Domain created within the Project Version. 
Enable/Disable Attributes within a Case Domain. When an Attribute is disabled, output will not be generated for that Attribute. Click here to learn more.
Enable/Disable Case Domain output generation. When disabled, output will not be generated for the Domain. Click here to learn more.
Change or randomize the Case Domain loopCount. Click here for more information. 
View modified Attributes and Receivers for a Case Domain. 
Update a Case Domain by adding Attributes, changing the Attribute order, assigning a different Generator, or changing the Receiver.
Show references for the Case Domain.
Remove a Domain from a Case.


G-Rule Set Tab

When rules are added, the rules will be applied automatically when the case is used to modify a Scenario, Scenario Chain, or Scenario Chain Set. Click here to learn more.
